How Mentally “Hard” Are You?

The 75 Hard Challenge To Get Mentally Tough.

So, I took the leap to do the 75 Hard Challenge created by Andy Frisella. I didn’t do this just to get fit, I did it because I’m feeling really fucking soft. COVID created a world where my routines, my habits, and my efforts to improve my life took a back seat. I’m not going to feel bad about that, but it is time to wake up and realize that I’m settling for a lesser version of me than I want to be.

Reputation Is What Other’s Think Of You. Character Is Who You Really Are.

I’ve always said, if you’re not getting better, you’re getting worse. I’ve forgotten the fun and the good feeling of overcoming obstacles and challenges. I’ve always been so proud of myself for taking on challenges, and this is my chance to get that back.

The War With Yourself Is Now.

With my second daughter on the way, doing this challenge made so much sense. I wanted to get my mind right, I wanted to get myself back into that fighting spirit. It’s time to kick myself into high gear, get ready to do battle so that I can win at life.

The Little Things Matter When You Add Them Up.

I think it’s so cool that this challenge isn’t that challenging, it’s hard. What I mean by that is, anyone can do what this challenge asks you to do (ie. two workouts a day, stick to a diet, drink water, don’t drink alcohol, etc.) This isn’t impossible, this isn’t for super humans, it’s for anyone and everyone that wants to challenge themselves. What it is, is HARD, and it’s hard because it’s 75 fucking days! I have to do these tasks every day for 75 days. That’s hard AF. Not everyone can do that. These little tasks on their own are no big deal, but do them every day, and do them for almost 11 weeks. That’s a different story.

So, What Are You Doing To Challenge Yourself?

To really appreciate life, we have to overcome obstacles, we have to “win” the challenge of our endeavors. In all honesty, you can’t really appreciate the good without the bad. Life has to suck a little so you can really enjoy the fun parts! So go get after something crazy and enjoy the battle!
